Mechanical System Design Engineer
Position and Responsibilities
- Support Team Leader in building up systems design capability.
- Support Team Leader in developing mechanical systems design standards for:
- Environment Control (air-conditioning, heating, humidification)
- Water and Waste System
- Smoke detection and passenger oxygen
- Soundproofing
- Work independently on system designs, commission and test of mechanical systems on Transport Category Aircraft for cabin completion and modification projects
Daily Activities
- Selection of equipment, components, materials
- Development of Mechanical Drawings (CAD)
- Preparation of Ground-and Flight-Test-Procedures
- Develop technical, safety and certification documentation (reports, analysis, assessments)
- Preparie weight & balance estimation and report
- Perform and document flammability testing
- Develop engineering standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Engineering degree or similar qualification required
- Mechanical System Design experience advantageous
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and CAD literacy
- Good communication skills in English
- German and/or French advantageous
- Goal-driven pro-active team player
- Dedicated to quality, reliability and safety
