Stress Engineer
Position and Responsibilities
- Support the Team Leader in setting up a report structure and working method ensuring efficient work flow.
- Support the Team Leader in developing capabilities for Finite Element Analysis and Dynamic Analysis
- Work independently on structural substantiation tasks for cabin completion and modification projects
Daily Activities
- Static strength calculations of different installations in airplanes with different methods (e.g. Finite-Element-Analysis and hand calculations).
- Structural substantiation for cabin completion and modification (antennae installation, additional water tank installation, etc) on transport category aircraft.
- Review and approve drawings and designs for stress aspects.
- Work out of repairs and modifications regarding stress
- Consult with mechanical design engineers to achieve light, - cost-saving structure solutions
- Develop technical, safety and certification documentation (reports,analysis, assessments)
- Establish FEM models.
- Develop procure material testing
- Develop engineering standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Higher engineering degree or similar qualification required
- First company experience as Stress Engineer, with working knowledge of composite material would be advantageous
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and CAD literacy
- Good communication skills in English
- German and/or French advantageous
- Goal-driven pro-active team player
- Dedicated to quality, reliability and safety
