EASA Part-66 Basic Training for B1.1 and B2
Licensed aircraft maintenance engineers at AMAC Academy
In the heart of Europe in Switzerland, centrally located at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, you can find AMAC Academy.
Located on the premises of AMAC Aerospace Switzerland AG, an EASA and FOCA approved CAMO, maintenance, design and production organization, you will receive a warm Swiss welcome and be supported by aviation experts with extensive industry knowledge and skill sets.
AMAC Academy offers students realistic, hands-on learning for a future in the aviation industry. We provide a high-quality training program offering basic training (B1.1 and B2) for aspiring licensed aircraft maintenance engineers, developed in line with EASA Part-66 standards. Successful completion of the program is designed to lead to issuance of an EASA Part-147 Certificate of Recognition, and additional 2 years practical experience gained in an EASA Part-145 environment. This qualifies graduates to apply for an EASA Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) with reduced practical experience requirements.

Our instructors come from the aviation industry with decades of collective experience. Designed to serve both the domestic and international markets, the training organization operates in an international environment with English-speaking instructors.
The programs and their associated trainings are delivered under EASA and FOCA requirements. At AMAC Academy, each student is given their own dedicated workstation and has access to experienced professionals and aircraft/components from AMAC Aerospace’s MRO environment.
Training Program: EASA Part-66 Basic Training for B1.1 and B2
B1.1
Includes modules M1 to M17, with emphasis on mechanical and propulsion systems.
Focuses on:
- Airframe structures and systems
- Gas turbine engines and propulsion
- Powerplant systems (fuel, lubrication, ignition, etc.)
- Maintenance practices
- Aviation legislation and human factors
- Maintenance and operational procedures
- Basic aerodynamics
B2
Includes modules M1 to M14, with emphasis on electronic systems and troubleshooting.
Focuses on:
- Aircraft electrical power systems
- Instrumentation, navigation and communication systems
- Digital techniques and aircraft data networks
- Maintenance practices
- Aviation legislation and human factors
- Basic aerodynamics
- Wiring inspection and repair

Facilities and Location
Our state-of-the-art facilities offer you hands-on training in a real aviation environment. Our classrooms are equipped for theoretical instruction, and a significant portion of the program is dedicated to practical training using actual aircraft, components and training rigs from AMAC Aerospace’s Part-145 environment.
Practical training also takes place in our workshops, including mechanical and avionics labs and system simulators.
