At the end of November, AMAC Aerospace Turkey, Istanbul, completed one of the most extensive maintenance projects for the Dassault Falcon 2000 series, working on an F2000. The aircraft underwent 12-, 24-, and 36-month inspections, as well as 1B, 1C, and 2C inspections. The scope of work also included landing gear replacement with an exchange set, complete paint renewal, livery change, landing gear boring, heavy structural repairs and replacement of the entry carpet.

During the inspections, AMAC Aerospace’s technicians found that some of the flight control actuators could not pass the functional tests, so they replaced them with serviceable ones. A couple of months earlier, they installed a loaner APU (auxiliary power unit) on the aircraft while the original APU was sent to the shop for repairs. They now received it back and reinstalled it on the aircraft. Several life-limited components were also sent to the shop for restoration, as per Component Maintenance requirements. Lastly, the team replaced the main battery with a new one due to its age.

The operator and the cockpit and cabin crews were all very happy with the support and will continue to come to AMAC Aerospace Turkey for further operations with other aircraft in the fleet.
