AMAC Aerospace has completed a pre-purchase inspection of a Boeing B737 at the hangars in Basel, Switzerland. The new customer contacted AMAC Aerospace when the aircraft was blocked in the UK and AMAC Aerospace arranged an offsite event to ferry the Boeing B373 to Basel before the inspection could commence.
The pre-purchase inspection included an engine borescope and AMAC Aerospace’s team also conducted several checks on the aircraft. They performed a B, C1, C3 and 12-year check. The checks revealed a high level of findings and corrosion, and the aircraft underwent heavy maintenance to rectify the defects. In addition, the HUD system computer and carpet were replaced and the landing gear underwent overhaul. Lastly, the registration number was changed.
