A Gulfstream IV had arrived in Basel, Switzerland to undergo a 144-months inspection, which is a major aircraft structure inspection. For a general visual inspection of the beams and underbody AMAC’s team removed the entire cabin. The rear fuselage suffered severe fatigue and therefore AMAC carried out a repair by shoring up the aircraft. This required over three month additional immobilization and fabrication of structural parts according to OEM data.
