AMAC Aerospace has delivered its second BBJ 777-300ER (Extended Range) for a private customer in the Middle East and completed a full Maintenance C-check as part of this turnkey services program. The customer, who took delivery of the completed aircraft from AMAC’s facility in Basel, Switzerland, followed a completion process of 18 months. The interior spaces include a newly integrated master bedroom, master en-suite, majlis and mid-cabin spaces with VVIP features and materials. Technical highlights achieved in the completion project include the first Honeywell Cabin Management System (CMS), RGB wave lighting in dome ceilings, Panasonic KU-Band Global Communication Suite (GCS) system installed with EXPhone as well as other high-end communication installations.
The customer visited the aircraft before delivery and had a successful test flight program before final handover, which included a smooth return flight to London. “AMAC Aerospace undertook a new concept in the industry, achieving and realizing the potential of a new communication and cabin management system on board this VVIP aircraft. “All the engineers and mechanics worked hard to see this project through and are delighted with our achievements so far” said Bernd Schramm, AMAC Group Chief Operating Officer. “This is our second wide body project to date, again delivered on time and within budget, and AMAC Aerospace continues to grow with intellectual and human capital in mastering new industry features”.
